Book Nooks

Sweet, Solitary, Silence

Those are words that make me think about relaxing in my favorite spot. I really enjoy my quite time. I need time for creative thoughts, pondering, meditating or just not thinking about anything at all. I love little nooks and I love books, so hence the Book Nook. Join me as we visit some wonderful little nooks that just call for some daydreaming moments.

This is a home of my client. She would always have a pot of fresh coffee and freshly baked cookies upon my arrival. I created this spot for her so that she could take advantage of the beautiful window and view of the woods. I have her tea waiting for her when she returns from work along with a book that her daughter wrote.
English Country Charm is how I describe this room. This is my cup of tea.
Soft blue and taupe to dream the day away.

A drape encased nook, everyone needs a place to hide.

A great way to turn a staircase landing into usable space.

A chic modern approach on the classic nook.

Soft and natural with the added texture of the woven blinds.

Spring lilac to inspire the gardening enthusiast.

Perfect for the beach house.

The lake house needs a nook also.

The boys will love this little nook.

What better place than the kitchen nook for reading your tablescaping books.
Do you have a book nook in your home? I'd love to know what yours look like.
Till next time, Happy Decorating

Lovely Kathleen, I love little nooks too! We have a sunroom in our house, not a nook, but long and narrow. I have two leather chairs and a large ottoman in the space, and we read and watch television in there. It's so cozy, and enveloping - perhaps that's what I love most about it, and the spaces you have here. Great blog!

I'm planning a nook in my office soon. I long for a comfy, cozy spot to curl up with a book.

I love to read, and I have a chaise lounge in my bedroom. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I'm so very sad! I don't have a book nook! I would dearly love one and see a few you've shown that would suit me just fine. But alas, I'm book nookless! :(
Be a sweetie,

I don't have a specific book nook but if I want a quiet place I sit on my loveseat in the bedroom....Hey...I guess I DO have a sort of book nook. I love the pictures of all the different ones....so pretty. Just makes you want to curl up with a great book and some coffee or tea.

PS: Your bouganvilla in the next post is gorgeous.
