Metamorphosis Monday hosted by: Susan at Between Naps on the Porch
Take a jog over to Susan's to view more spectacular transformations
Below are the pictures of my transformed lanai
The metal sides were left over from our gazebo in Pa. The wind ripped the canopy but we loved the detail in the metal and couldn't get rid of the side pieces. I actually would use the side pieces when I would set up design shows. I would set it up like a room in a home.
We used PVC pipe that I spray painted dark green and we screwed it into the top of the side pieces. It gave it support and it also gave me a rod to hang my drapery panels.
I have the lanai set up as three separate areas. To the left is my Zen meditation room. I have a bench that I got at Goodwill, a fountain and my iron fireplace.
This is a metal candelabra that I arranged glass candle holders and a fern on top.
The table was a trash pick

This is another view of the Zen area. Next to the plant are two wrought iron trees that have votive holders on their limbs. I have white lights in the plant.
The palm trees lamps look really cool at night. It's bright enough that we can read.
I hope you enjoyed my tour of the place that I go to relax.

Kathleen,
This is just a wonderful post! I really love this whole area what a neat idea to make 3 different rooms and each one so very grand. I would love to be sitting out there in the evening and enjoying the beautiful lights! cindy

Kathleen! I love it!!
I just love an outdoor room. I think the drapes are what make it feel really special and luxurious. I really love your chair/ottoman - I want something similar in my bedroom. And I love what you did with the corks - I have been saving corks for a little while and haven't yet decided how to use them.
We have the same firepot thingie with the tall stack. :)
Thanks for unveiling your new space - it's wonderful!!!
I like your idea of making the curtain rod.
I'm surprised to see a dracena growing in PA. How long have you had it?
Kathleen,
I love it! I'm coming for a visit...I'll bring the wine...we can add the cork to you table. lol
