Metamorphosis Monday, My Lanai

Below are the pictures of my transformed lanai

The metal sides were left over from our gazebo in Pa. The wind ripped the canopy but we loved the detail in the metal and couldn't get rid of the side pieces. I actually would use the side pieces when I would set up design shows. I would set it up like a room in a home.

We used PVC pipe that I spray painted dark green and we screwed it into the top of the side pieces. It gave it support and it also gave me a rod to hang my drapery panels.

I have the lanai set up as three separate areas. To the left is my Zen meditation room. I have a bench that I got at Goodwill, a fountain and my iron fireplace.

The middle room is my lounge area, this is right off my kitchen.

To the right is my alfresco dining room, this is right off of the great room.

A closer look at the dining area. We eat almost all of our meals out here.

This is my favorite spot for relaxing.

You can see a glimpse of my plaster cast fireplace.

This is a metal candelabra that I arranged glass candle holders and a fern on top.

This is a great spot for all of my corks.

I love this sculpture of a girl dancing in the water.

This is another view of the Zen area. Next to the plant are two wrought iron trees that have votive holders on their limbs. I have white lights in the plant.

The palm trees lamps look really cool at night. It's bright enough that we can read.
