Lampapalooza Party Shell Chandelier

It's time for a party, a lamp party. Head on over to Nesting Place and grab some great ideas for turning ordinary lamps into extraordinary.

This is a similar version of my before. I have a tendency to jump right into my projects before I snap a picture of the sight for sore eyes. I found my tarnished old brass chandelier at Goodwill. I had my eye on several shell chandeliers but didn't want to spend the hefty price. The first thing I did was get out my can of spray paint and get rid of all that brass. Then on to several hours of hot gluing and 3rd. degree burns. The addition of pretty shades and my project was complete. I love the way it turned out and it looks great in my kitchen. The burns however took several weeks to heal. Welders gloves may be in order for next time. But, no pain no gain. Think of the money I saved.

Blessings,

That is so beachy and creative! I would have never dreamed it was the same chandy. Great job!

I'm impressed! Did it have shades before? I'm wondering how you attach shades it there aren't any to begin with.

Beautiful! I had been wondering whether a chandelier could be painted! I have one in the dining room that I'd like to paint in white. It is a brass now.

I always forget to take before photos too. Wow!!!! Your chandy turned out fabulous. Worth all the burns I'd say (but then again, I wasn't the one with the burns).
