Look For The Beauty

Does the thought of decorating an empty room scare the shoelaces right off your sneakers?

My imagination is going wild, crazy, bonkers. Be still my heart. I am having thoughts of making you all pretty.

Sometimes the beauty is in what you don't see at first glance. Look at the details in these empty rooms. The moldings and floors are to die for. Can you even fathom what that would cost to replace. I love the exposed brick in the first photo. The juxtaposition of the rough brick with the crystal chandelier makes my heart sing. I love to build roomscapes in my head. I am lucky in that I can envision the final results of a project long before it is in the final stage. I guess I'm a visionary. I enjoy looking at something very closely and finding its beauty. Sometimes you have to get down to the dirt and grim to find it , but it's usually there.

I hope you will be inspired in your daily life to find the beauty. Let your imagination take over and see where it leads.

This is how I see these rooms decorated. I can even envision myself sipping tea in the newly renovated space in my head. Yes, it's divine.

Blessings,

I would be in heaven in any one of these rooms. It does take a vision to see the finished space, but I love the look of the olds and moldings take my breath away. Wouldn't it be fun to tackle one of these rooms. Hugs, Marty

An empty room is like that of a blank canvas - so many ideas and choices with each and every stroke!
You would love the new book "Flip" - An empty room is suddenly filled with ideas.
