Wire Whisk Light

Metamorphosis Monday hosted by: Susan at Between Naps on the Porch

Take a jog over to Susan's to view more spectacular transformations

By taking an inexpensive pre-wired pendant lamp and mixing it with a vintage industrial whisk we have all the makings a great junk production needs! FYI, that's Hollywood speak for..."Stand back for the special effects!"

Hobite Whisk Pendant Lamp

Junk Market Style Difficulty Meter

Materials:
Vintage Hobite or other industrial wire whisk
Pre-wired pendant lamp with glass shade
Crystal
Light bulb
Tools List:
Wire cutter
Needle nose pliers

Method:

Step 1: Remove cap from wiring housing on bulb end of lamp. Push the two silver tabs, found on the bottom of the casing, in while at the same time pulling on the wires in the opposite direction. This will remove the wires completely from the plastic housing.

Step 2: Thread the freed wires through the neck of the whisk from the outside.

Step 3: Thread the wires back through the plastic sleeve on the pendant lamp and insert the wires back into the metal clips. They should hold tight and not pull back out.

Step 4: Snap the plastic sleeve back over the housing for the cord.

Step 5: Carefully slip glass light cover through the whisk and secure to the housing with the screw cap provided with lamp. Insert light bulb.

Step 6: Add a bit of bling by wiring a crystal on the base of the whisk.

Step 7: Hang your lamp and enjoy the newly whisked up ambiance.

Blessings
