My first art journal collage is complete. I didn't want to put too much pressure on myself so I didn't start on the first page. I just opened it up near the beginning. I didn't want to put too much thought into it. I'd rather it be random and see where my thought process went. I have to say that it is rather cathartic. I noticed that as I was building my layers I was seeing a repetition of subject matter. In my collage you will see many clock faces, hands, a woman's face and a martini glass. If you look closely at her face it appears as if she is hatching out of an egg. The time could represent cocktail hour, which my husband and I enjoy. Although none of them say 5:00. They actually say 10:00, but you know what they say about 5:00 somewhere, where's Jimmy Buffett? I have always liked hands and have always done my own manicures, I'm really into the Beverly Hills French. I also decided when I woke up this morning that I would have a very still day. I really just wanted to be with myself and be quiet. My husband is working with the NFL in Tampa for the superball. He is going non stop. They have been having a ton of parties, so I'll be interested in who he got to meet. So, the representation of the clocks and that the time stands still is interesting. Gosh, this project is like that ink blot test, I can never think of the name, it start with an R. This could put a therapist out of business. HA
This is my office/art studio. I have all my ducks in a row and ready to get started.

Go for the joy, indeed! Your collage is fabulous, and your office is inspiring me to get my ducks in a row around here - and to go get a pedicure. ;)
