Metamorphosis Monday

Welcome to Metamorphosis Monday brought to you by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch! Be sure to visit her blog to see some great before and after projects from the other participants!

This is a similar version of my before. I have a tendency to jump right into my projects before I snap a picture of the sight for sore eyes. I found my tarnished old brass chandelier at Goodwill. I had my eye on several shell chandeliers but didn't want to spend the hefty price. The first thing I did was get out my can of spray paint and get rid of all that brass. Then on to several hours of hot gluing and 3rd. degree burns. The addition of pretty shades and my project was complete. I love the way it turned out and it looks great in my sun room. The burns however took several weeks to heal. Welders gloves may be in order for next time. But, no pain no gain. Think of the money I saved.

Till next time, Happy Decorating

Sorry about the burns, but it really did turn out beautifully! What a creative, unique idea. Thanks for stopping by, and yes Mom already has us on the hook to redo her bath, but we have to do her kitchen first arggg! Kathy

That is so creative, and looks great! I've been wanting to update some of my brass fixtures, and a few coats of paint might just do the trick!

It was worth the battle scars you suffered. Adorable fixture for a sunroom. Great creativity! Cass

It turned out quite nice. How inventive. I would not have thought to use shells to decorate it. It looks really good in that room and accents the wall color. Steve-French Cupboard
