Foodie Friday Strawberry Bruschetta

Welcome to another Foodie Friday hosted by Michael at http://designsbygollum.blogspot.com/

Please take a stroll over to her beautiful blog and feast your eyes on some delectable treats that are sure to please your palette.

Bruschetta With Strawberries and Mascarpone Cheese

1 baguette, thinly sliced on an angle
3 tablespoons butter at room temperature
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup (120g) mascarpone cheese
1 pint (300g) strawberries, washed, dried, and sliced

1. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Mix together cinnamon and sugar, and sprinkle on top of the butter. Place the bread, cinnamon and sugar side down, in a nonstick skillet set over medium heat. Watch them carefully to ensure the sugar doesn’t burn. Remove from pan when the cinnamon and sugar caramelizes. Allow to cool slightly on a cooling rack.

2. Spread each cinnamon toast with 2-3 teaspoons of mascarpone cheese. Garnish with 3 slices of strawberries.

Vintage strawberry patterned sun dress

Delicate embroidered strawberries on a linen tea towel

Fancy little ruffled dish towels. I have visions of these beauties adorning a window

Beauty beyond words, lush strawberries, flowers and vines. Do you see the little bees? I see a pillow made out of this tea towel.

Blessings,

Yet another mascarpone and strawberry combo... I've seen a few of those today - delish!!! I bet this would be good on toasted slices of pound cake too!
Thanks for posting!

Kathleen, I want to thank you for stopping by and saying hello. I'm in St. Petersburg! I don't know how I have missed "meeting" you before or visiting your beautiful blog because it looks like we read many of the same blogs. I am going to add you to my favorites and I can't wait to come back when I have some free time so I can read through your archives.
